On 17 September sixteen Members drove to Filton at the invitation of Jock Heron, Chairman of the R-R Heritage Trust.

The group was given a briefing on R-R's current business situation by Francis Kearney, Senior Vice President European Business & Aftermarket Sales and were then showed round the Heritage Trust museum by Jock and Deputy Chairman Patrick Hassell.

After an excellent lunch in the Company restaurant the group visited the Filton production facility to view the EJ200 for the Typhoon and the lift fan and vectoring nozzle for the JSF under construction.
