Dick Poole will talk about the evolution of the Royal Aero Club and the early days of powered flight in southern England. This will be followed by a description of the club’s collection of paintings, trophies and other artefacts in the care of the Royal Aero Club Trust and their Flying for Youth bursary programme. The talk includes rare images of early flying and items of interest in the collection.
